Full job descriptionAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Family Solicitor with 2+ years’ PQE to join a growing and highly regarded Family team within a well established firm with an excellent reputation for private client work and a strong standing in the regional legal market.
The firm is recognised by leading independent legal directories, with its Family offering noted for its high quality work, strong client service and expertise in complex and high net worth matters. The team has also developed a strong reputation for constructive, modern approaches to family law and the promotion of Non Court Dispute Resolution (NCDR).
Working closely with the Family Partner, you will manage your own caseload and client relationships, inherit an established workload and play an active role in the continued growth and development of the department.
The Role
You will have the opportunity to work across a broad range of private family matters, including:
• Divorce and separation
• Financial matters
• Children matters
• Nuptial and cohabitation agreements
• Wider private family law matters
A strong commitment to NCDR is essential, with mediation or collaborative law experience/training welcomed.
You will also be encouraged to contribute to business development and help generate further growth for the department, making this an excellent opportunity for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset who wants to build their own profile and client base.
The Ideal Candidate
• 2+ years’ experience in Family Law
• Experience managing your own caseload independently
• Background with a firm recognised for its Family Law work, particularly HNW or complex matters
• Resolution membership
• Strong understanding and enthusiasm for NCDR
• Excellent client care and communication skills
• Commercially aware with a proactive approach to business development
• Able to supervise and support more junior team members
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Comfortable managing competing priorities and deadlines
• Confident working independently while contributing to wider team matters
• Experience using case management systems
• Strong MS Office and Outlook skills
The Team
You will join an established and collaborative team comprising Partners, a Senior Associate, Associate Solicitors, a Trainee and Paralegals, working closely with the Family Partner and benefiting from a supportive team structure.
