Job Description:
Full job descriptionReed Finance are currently assisting an established client in the local area in the recruitment of a Financial Operations Manager to oversee the financial operations of their UK shared services organisation. This role ensures accuracy, compliance and efficiency across AP, bank, inter-company, and GL activities. The successful candidate will manage a team of 3, support the transactional side of 5 international legal entities, and act as the go-to person for day-to-day financial transactions.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Prepare monthly management accounts for 5 legal entities within a 4-day close.
*Review monthly control account reconciliations both internally and quarterly for ARC (Account reconciliations US Internal reporting).
*Approve and release AP bank payments and review and approve all journal entries.
*Manage international treasury for over 20 bank accounts in various countries/currencies, including cash flow forecasting and debt settlement with US parent.
*Systematise the preparation of materials for the UK consolidated audit to facilitate auditor access via D365/supporting platforms.
*Support inventory management including stock takes, goods-in-transit, and discrepancy management.
*Manage day-to-day intercompany and intracompany processes for both trade and non-trade transactions.
*Maintain effective communication and development within the shared service team.
*Undertake various ad hoc projects as required by the International Finance Director.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
*Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CMA) preferred.
*3–5 years’ experience in accounting with a strong emphasis on international finance.
*Proven experience managing intercompany and currency transactions.
*Proficiency in advanced Excel and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Experience in managing and liaising with external auditors.
*High attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
*Desirable: Fluency in a foreign language, experience in diverse cultural settings, Microsoft Dynamics (D365) experience, and inventory management/supply side partnering.
