Job Description:
Full job descriptionWe are looking for a Marketing Assistant to join a successful and growing organisation and play an active role in supporting a range of UK and international marketing activity.
This is a broad and varied position, offering the opportunity to get involved in everything from digital content and campaigns through to exhibitions, marketing materials, data and customer communications. It would suit someone with previous marketing experience who is looking for a role where they can continue developing their skills while taking ownership of a varied workload.
The Role
Working closely with colleagues across Sales, Marketing and the wider business, you will help coordinate and deliver marketing activity that supports brand awareness, customer engagement and continued business growth.
Your responsibilities will include:
*Taking ownership of day-to-day social media activity, including planning, creating and scheduling engaging content that aligns with wider corporate and marketing objectives.
*Supporting the delivery of digital and traditional marketing campaigns.
*Producing marketing materials including presentations, brochures, email communications and promotional literature.
*Working confidently with marketing data and customer datasets, including data segmentation to support targeted and increasingly automated marketing campaigns.
*Keeping website content accurate, engaging and up to date.
*Supporting the organisation of exhibitions, conferences and industry events.
*Developing case studies, customer stories and product-focused content.
*Monitoring marketing activity and helping to measure and report on campaign performance.
*Maintaining accurate CRM and marketing database information.
*Coordinating branded merchandise, promotional items and marketing collateral.
*Working proactively with teams across the business to gather information, generate ideas and ensure marketing activity supports wider commercial objectives.
About You
We are ideally looking for someone with at least 2 years’ experience within a marketing, communications or similar role who is confident getting involved across a range of marketing activities.
Personality is equally important. You will be outgoing, enthusiastic and confident, with the initiative to get things moving rather than always waiting for direction. You’ll be comfortable approaching and engaging with colleagues across the business, asking questions, gathering information and contributing your own ideas.
You will ideally have:
*Strong written and verbal communication skills.
*Experience managing or creating content for business social media channels.
*Confidence working with customer and marketing data, including segmenting datasets for targeted communications.
*Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
*Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
*The ability to use your own initiative and manage multiple projects and changing priorities.
*Experience using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar design tools would be beneficial.
*Knowledge of website content management systems would be advantageous.
*Experience using CRM or email marketing platforms would be beneficial.
*A marketing qualification, degree or equivalent practical experience would be welcomed.
Above all, we are looking for someone who brings energy, confidence and ideas to the role and enjoys working collaboratively with people across a business.
This is an excellent opportunity to build on your existing marketing experience within a growing organisation and gain exposure to a wide variety of marketing activity across both UK and international markets.
