Job Description:
Full job descriptionSF Partners are supporting a Yardley based organisation in recruiting a Permanent Inventory Controller. This role is permanent and suited to somebody who has managed inventory for a consumer goods business previously.
Working pattern: full time Monday to Friday based in Yardley
Salary: £35,000-£40,000
Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels across the business.
Track stock movements, deliveries, transfers and adjustments.
Carry out regular stock checks, cycle counts and reconciliations.
Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.
Monitor slow-moving, excess and obsolete stock and recommend appropriate action.
Maintain accurate inventory records within ERP and stock management systems.
Review reorder points, safety stock levels and stock requirements.
Work closely with purchasing, warehouse, operations and sales teams to ensure product availability.
Support the receipt and processing of incoming stock.
Produce regular inventory reports and highlight potential shortages or stock issues.
Support new product introductions and discontinued product phase-outs.
Assist with continuous improvement of inventory control processes and procedures.
Ensure inventory activities are completed in line with company policies and controls.
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in inventory control, stock control, supply chain or a similar role.
Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
Good Excel and systems skills, ideally with experience using ERP or inventory management software.
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to analyse stock data and identify trends or discrepancies.
Confident communicator with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
