Full job descriptionAre you an active Developed Vetting (DV) Cleared Infrastructure Engineer looking to work on a major greenfield programme within the Defence sector?
Join a team of infrastructure professionals delivering and supporting secure messaging and infrastructure platforms operating within highly classified environments.
Based onsite in Hemel Hempstead, with a future move to Watford, you’ll play an important role in building, transitioning and supporting services that underpin critical Defence and national security outcomes.
This is more than a traditional support role. You’ll work across infrastructure delivery, service transition and operational support, helping move new capabilities from development into live production while maintaining and enhancing existing platforms.
Working alongside experienced subject matter experts, infrastructure specialists and development teams, you’ll gain exposure to a broad range of technologies and continue developing your technical capability within one of the UK’s most secure working environments.
What you’ll be doing:
*Supporting the delivery, transition and ongoing support of infrastructure services into live production.
*Maintaining and enhancing secure messaging and infrastructure platforms.
*Supporting systems operating within highly classified environments.
*Working across Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, storage and virtualisation technologies.
*Contributing to infrastructure integration and operational support activities within a greenfield Defence programme.
*Supporting platforms that underpin critical Defence and national security outcomes.
What you’ll bring:
*Active UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance and sole UK nationality.
*Experience supporting Wintel and server-based environments within complex enterprise infrastructures.
*Broad infrastructure knowledge across Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualisation and networking technologies.
*The ability to work across a range of infrastructure technologies rather than a single specialism.
*A proactive approach to taking ownership of tasks and delivering against objectives.
It would be great if you had:
*Knowledge of ITIL Service Management processes and practices.
*Accreditation to MCP level or equivalent.
*Customer service skills and experience of dealing and resolving complex issues.
