Full job descriptionRG Consultancy are working with a fantastic SME in Rochdale who are looking to recruit a Management Accountant to join their finance team. You will join a small accounts team, being responsible for the company & management accounts, reporting into the Finance Manager.

Role Responsibilities
*Preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts
*Reviewing bookkeeping, ledgers and financial transactions
*Checking bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
*Reviewing journals, accruals, prepayments and VAT reconciliations
*Supporting month-end and year-end processes
*Monitoring the accuracy of financial records
*Reviewing payroll and resolving accounting queries
*Providing financial reports and information to management
*Liaising with external accountants and auditors
*Improving accounting processes and financial controls
Person Specification
*Experienced management accountant with at least 5 years’ experience within a similar role
*Strong IT skills along with strong MS Excel skills and experience with accounting packages incusing SAGE & SAGE Payroll
*Part or qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA
*Experience working within a retail, distribution or wholesale environment would be an advantage
