A welcoming specialist school in High Wycombe is seeking a calm, nurturing and proactive Psychology Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. Experience working with non-verbal pupils and children with complex needs is essential for this Psychology Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant role in High Wycombe.
Key Responsibilities
*Provide 1:1 and in-class support to pupils with ASD and other additional needs.
*Work closely with non-verbal pupils and children with complex needs.
*Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and accessible lessons.
*Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
*Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
*Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing, communication and academic progress.
*Encourage pupils to develop confidence and independence.
*Work collaboratively with teachers and other members of staff.


The successful candidate for the position will be:
*A Psychology graduate with a strong interest in child development and additional needs.
*Patient, caring, nurturing and reliable.
*Experienced in supporting children with SEN and additional needs.
*Experienced working with non-verbal pupils and/or children with complex needs.
*Confident providing 1:1 and small-group support.
*A strong communicator and effective team player.
*Flexible, dependable and able to adapt to individual pupils’ needs.
