Full job descriptionAre you an experienced HR professional looking for a varied Employee Relations role where you can make a real impact across a frontline workforce?
We’re recruiting for an HR Advisor to join a busy and supportive HR team, providing expert Employee Relations advice and support to operational managers across a diverse workforce. Working closely with managers and senior stakeholders, you’ll manage a varied caseload while helping to build management capability and ensure fair, consistent and legally compliant people management practices.
The RoleYou’ll provide practical HR advice and guidance on a range of employment matters, including:
*Managing complex Employee Relations cases from start to finish.
*Supporting managers with sickness absence, disciplinary, grievance and performance management processes.
*Coaching and developing managers to confidently handle people issues.
*Conducting investigations and supporting formal hearings where required.
*Ensuring compliance with employment legislation, organisational policies and best practice.
*Reviewing and updating HR policies, procedures and management guidance.
*Building strong working relationships with key stakeholders and Trade Union representatives.
*Monitoring employee relations trends and maintaining accurate case records.
About YouTo be successful, you’ll bring:Experience working in a Human Resources advisory role.Proven experience managing Employee Relations casework, particularly:
*Absence Management
*Disciplinary Matters
*Grievances
*Performance Management
*Experience of working within a unionised environment
*Sound knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
*Strong coaching, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
*Ability to build credibility with operational managers and support challenging conversations.
*Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy and varied workload.
*CIPD Level 5 CIPD or equivalent HR experience.
