We’re delighted to be exclusively recruiting for a General Manager on behalf of a successful and growing immersive entertainment business. With a strong brand, a family feel and ambitious plans for growth, this is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of an established Metrocentre venue, overseeing the bar and immersive entertainment operation.
The venue is already successful, now it’s about building on that success. You’ll take the lead in driving best practice, developing your team, improving performance and finding new ways to grow the business.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll set the standard, bring energy and ideas to the venue and create an environment where both customers and your team thrive.
The Role:
As General Manager, you’ll take overall responsibility for the successful operation and commercial performance of the venue.
You’ll be responsible for:
*Managing the Bar and Immersive Entertainment operation
*Taking ownership of the venue and its performance
*Leading, coaching and motivating your team
*Developing your team and supporting progression
*Driving sales, revenue and profitability
*Managing P&L, KPIs and commercial performance
*Embedding best practice across the venue
*Setting and maintaining high standards
*Improving the customer experience
*Developing ideas to grow the business
*Driving off-peak sales and activity
*Identifying new commercial opportunities
*Working with senior leadership on business growth
*Bringing fresh ideas and taking the venue to the next level
What We’re Looking For:
This role will suit someone who genuinely loves what they do. You’ll have the energy, personality and commercial drive to take ownership of a venue and the passion to make it even better.
You’ll ideally have management experience within hospitality, bars, leisure or entertainment, and be comfortable leading a customer-facing operation in a fast-paced environment.
You’ll also bring:
*Proven experience managing hospitality, leisure or entertainment teams
*Bar and/or leisure management experience
*Commercial awareness and P&L experience
*A track record of driving sales and performance
*Strong recruitment, coaching and team development skills
*A hands-on, lead-from-the-front approach
*Energy, enthusiasm and passion
*Creativity and plenty of ideas
*The ability to set and maintain high standards
*Excellent communication skills
*A genuine passion for the brand and customer experience
