Counterbalance Forklift Driver - Outdoor RoleStraightforward Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join their busy operation in Stanton.
This is a hands-on role working as part of a team in an outdoor environment. The position would suit someone who enjoys practical work, is comfortable working outside and is looking for a steady Monday-to-Friday role.
The successful candidate will ideally have experience operating a Counterbalance Forklift with Clamp attachment. However, candidates with standard Counterbalance experience will also be considered.
The RoleYour main responsibility will be supporting the safe and efficient movement of refrigerators and other materials around the site.
Duties will include:
*Operating a Counterbalance Forklift safely and efficiently

*Using a Clamp attachment where required

*Unloading refrigerators from incoming vehicles

*Moving refrigerators and materials around the site

*Placing refrigerators into undercover storage areas

*Loading and positioning goods safely and securely

*Assisting with general yard and warehouse duties when required

*Working as part of a team to ensure deliveries are handled efficiently

*Following site health and safety procedures at all times

*Maintaining a safe and organised working environment

About YouWe are looking for a reliable and hardworking individual who is comfortable working in a busy outdoor environment.
You will ideally have:
*A valid Counterbalance Forklift licence/certificate

*Experience operating a Counterbalance Forklift

*Clamp experience is highly desirable, although training/consideration will be given to candidates with Counterbalance-only experience

*Previous experience unloading or moving bulky/heavy goods would be advantageous

*A good understanding of workplace health and safety

*Good attention to detail

*A reliable and punctual approach to work

*The ability to work independently as well as part of a team

*A good level of physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors

Working EnvironmentPlease note that this is an outdoor role and you will be working outside in all weather conditions.
The role is practical and physically active, involving the unloading and movement of refrigerators and other goods. Candidates should therefore be comfortable working outdoors throughout the year and working in a hands-on environment.
