£37,500–£42,500 + Bonus and Benefits
Enderby, Leicester
Hybrid working following training and induction
Take ownership of the business-critical systems supporting an established professional services organisation.
BTG Recruitment is partnering with a successful, people-focused business to recruit a Business Applications Analyst.
This is more than a traditional IT support role. You will become the internal expert for the company’s core business applications, resolving system issues, supporting users and identifying practical ways to improve processes, workflows and technology.
The opportunity would suit an Applications Support Analyst, Business Systems Analyst or Systems Administrator who enjoys combining hands-on problem-solving with systems improvement and project work.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will:
*Take day-to-day ownership of the company’s core business applications.
*Provide second-line support for system queries, incidents and enhancement requests.
*Investigate and resolve system, workflow and data issues.
*Manage system configuration, user accounts, permissions and access controls.
*Support Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.
*Work with the external IT provider on Microsoft 365, Azure Virtual Desktop and VPN-related issues.
*Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and user experience.
*Gather requirements, map processes and coordinate user acceptance testing.
*Support system upgrades, integrations, migrations and implementations.
*Produce user guides, system documentation and training materials.
*Deliver training and help colleagues adopt new technology.
*Liaise with software suppliers and coordinate issue resolution.
ABOUT YOU
You will need:
*Experience supporting and administering business applications.
*Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365.
*Experience managing system configuration, user permissions and access.
*The ability to troubleshoot system, workflow and data problems.
*An understanding of business processes, workflows and data management.
*Experience working with software suppliers or outsourced IT providers.
*Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
*The ability to explain technical information clearly to non-technical users.
*The organisation and initiative to manage competing priorities independently.
Experience within financial services, professional services or another regulated environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
Exposure to CRM or document-management systems, SharePoint, Azure Virtual Desktop or VPN environments would also be beneficial.
WHAT’S ON OFFER?
*Salary of £37,500–£42,500, depending on experience.
*Discretionary bonus.
*Hybrid working following initial training and induction.
*Employer pension contribution starting at 5% and increasing with service.
*Four-times-salary life assurance.
*24 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with service.
*Health cash plan.
*Free onsite parking.
*Support with professional development and qualifications.
*Long-term career-development opportunities.
If you enjoy solving systems problems, improving how businesses operate and helping colleagues get more from technology, this is an opportunity to make a visible impact.
