Job Description:
Full job descriptionHybrid working: 3 days in office - Seven-figure conferences, international activations across multiple continents, and a client roster that reads like the Fortune 500 of tech and finance. Every specialist sits in-house, and this Event Account Director position carries genuine strategic weight from day one.
- Blue-chip tech and finance clients for your portfolio
- Real strategic autonomy across your accounts
- Variety spanning conferences, expos and international activations
- Supportive and collaborative team
- Central London offices
- 5% matched pension and gifted Christmas shutdown
The Company
A mid-size, full-service creative production agency with offices in London and New York. With in-house teams that span creative, production, project management and operations, they have genuine collaboration between specialists rather than work parcelled out to third parties. The culture is described consistently as kind, process-driven in a way that works, and fast-paced without being chaotic.
The Role
The Event Account Director role covers strategic leadership of a high-profile tech and finance account portfolio, sitting within a close-knit client services team and reporting to the Group Head of Client Services, with a Senior Account Manager as a direct report. A broad role the Event Account Director role includes:
- Leading and growing senior client relationships across a portfolio of key accounts
- Translating client brand strategies and KPIs into clear creative briefs
- Owning margin defence, budget construction and pipeline forecasting
- Line-managing and development of a small team
- Bridging client services, creative, production and operations teams
- Leading organic growth pitches to secure new briefs from existing clients
The Candidate
The right person for this Event Account Director position will have a proven track record leading complex senior client relationships inside an events or experiential agency, with the commercial discipline to protect margins and forecast across a live portfolio. Experience line-managing account team members is beneficial.
A background in large-scale conference or expo delivery is a genuine advantage, as is familiarity with tech or finance clients, though neither is a hard barrier for someone who can demonstrate the right depth of agency-side account leadership. An Event Account Director who earns client trust quickly and thrives in a collaborative environment will fit straight in.
Genuine seniority, a portfolio that carries weight, and a contract with strong permanent conversion prospects make this worth acting on now. Interviews are being lined up as applications come in, so submit yours promptly to avoid missing out.
