Full job descriptionTeacher (SEMH & SEN) - Blackpool | Full Time | Immediate Start
We are currently seeking a dedicated and resilient qualified teacher to join a small secondary school in Blackpool that caters exclusively for pupils with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs and additional Special Educational Needs (SEN).
This is a full-time position with an immediate start, offering a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference to the lives of young people who require a more personalised and supportive educational environment.
About the School
The school provides a holistic and flexible learning experience designed to meet the needs of young people who are unable to remain in mainstream education. Students may include those who have:
*Been permanently excluded or are at risk of exclusion
*Previously been home educated
*Experienced challenging personal circumstances
*SEN and additional learning needs
*High-risk assessments in place
*Children Looked After (CLA)
*Youth Offending Team (YOT) involvement
*Drug and alcohol misuse concerns
*School-based anxiety or school phobia
*Experienced bullying
*Mental health needs
*Assessment placement requirements

The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
*Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) in the UK
*Is available to start immediately and work full time
*Has a current enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
*Is willing to complete any outstanding compliance requirements promptly
*Is resilient, patient and committed to supporting vulnerable young people
*Has excellent behaviour management skills
*Can build strong relationships and rapport with pupils from challenging backgrounds
*Has experience working with SEMH, SEN or challenging behaviour (desirable but not essential)
Both primary and secondary trained teachers are encouraged to apply.
