*Job Type: Part-time (5 days a week, 10:30 AM - 1:30 PM)
We are seeking a dedicated SEND Lunch Support staff member to join our team at a SEND school in South Norwood. This role is crucial in providing a safe and supportive environment for students during lunchtime.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Supervise students during lunch breaks to ensure a safe, orderly, and nurturing environment.
*Assist students with special educational needs and disabilities during meal times, ensuring they have a positive dining experience.
*Facilitate social interactions and promote inclusive activities among students.
*Respond to any incidents or emergencies with professionalism and care.
*Collaborate with teaching and support staff to implement strategies that support student welfare.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs and disabilities.
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
*Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
*A compassionate and patient approach.
*Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo this check).
