Full job description Business Rates Supervisor | Permanent | Bromley (Hybrid/Home Working)


I’m currently working with a client in Bromley who is looking to appoint a Business Rates Supervisor on a permanent basis.


Salary: £31,432 - £35,530
Location: Bromley (Hybrid/Home Working)
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:*Supervising and mentoring a team of Business Rates Officers
*Allocating and monitoring workloads, quality, and performance
*Managing Business Rates recovery processes and debt collection activities
*Reviewing and progressing cases through the recovery cycle
*Undertaking tracing activities and company searches
*Preparing cases for Enforcement Agents, Charging Orders, and Bankruptcy proceedings
*Attending Summons surgeries, recovery meetings, and monthly court hearings
*Liaising with IT to develop reports and support data cleansing initiatives
*Ensuring KPI and SLA targets are achieved
Essential Experience:*Proven experience within Business Rates (NNDR) and debt recovery
*Strong understanding of Business Rates legislation and recovery processes
*Experience supervising or mentoring team members
*Excellent communication skills with customers, clients, legal representatives, and external agencies
*Proactive approach to debt recovery and case management
*Ability to prioritise workloads and meet performance targets
*Experience using Academy (NEC), Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
