Full job descriptionInterim Payroll Manager / ConsultantCoalville | Office Based | Day Rate | Interim
We’re working with a well-established business in Coalville that is looking for an experienced Interim Payroll Manager / Payroll Consultant to support them through a period of change.
The immediate priority is to take ownership of payroll, keep BAU running smoothly and bring stability to the function.
Alongside this, you’ll review the current payroll processes, identify practical improvements that can be made quickly and help the business prepare for its longer-term payroll strategy.
The business is currently leaning towards outsourcing payroll, so the successful interim will also play an important role in helping assess the options and potentially spearheading the transition.
Key responsibilities*Own and manage the day-to-day payroll operation
*Ensure employees are paid accurately and on time
*Review existing processes, controls and ways of working
*Identify and implement immediate process improvements
*Reduce manual and Excel-heavy processes where possible
*Support the evaluation and potential outsourcing of payroll
*Help lead and embed future payroll changes
About youWe’re looking for an experienced payroll professional who can operate autonomously and quickly get to grips with an existing operation.
Experience of payroll transformation, outsourcing, systems improvement or project work would be particularly valuable.
