Location: Manchester - Hybrid Working
We are partnering with a successful and growing organisation looking to appoint a Finance Manager to join their finance team. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role will play a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, driving process improvements, and supporting strategic decision-making across the business.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance professional who enjoys balancing technical accounting responsibilities with business partnering and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
*Oversee general ledger activities and month-end close processes
*Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in line with relevant accounting standards
*Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and financial accounting records Analyse financial performance, identify trends and provide actionable insights
*Prepare monthly and annual management reports
*Support year-end audit processes and tax reporting requirements
*Maintain and enhance internal controls to safeguard company assets
*Coordinate internal and external audit activities
*Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
*Partner with senior leadership to improve financial performance and operational efficiency
*Support cost-saving initiatives and process improvement projects
*Evaluate financial risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies
*Lead, coach and develop members of the finance team
*Support training, mentoring and performance development activities
*Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and high-quality financial reporting
Candidate Profile:
*ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
*Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
*Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
*Experience managing or mentoring finance team members
*Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
