Full job descriptionWe are currently recruiting for an experienced and reliable Caretaker to join a well-maintained residential development.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards across a residential environment and enjoys working independently.
Key Responsibilities:
*General upkeep and maintenance of the development and communal areas
*Carrying out regular site inspections
*Litter picking and keeping external areas clean and tidy
*Sweeping and mopping communal areas
*Carrying out minor maintenance and repairs
*Basic painting and decorating
*Monitoring lighting and reporting any faults
*Managing refuse and recycling arrangements
*Liaising with contractors and allowing access to the site when required
*Carrying out routine health, safety and building checks
*Maintaining onsite equipment and storage areas
*Seasonal grounds and external maintenance
*Providing a friendly and professional service to residents and visitors
The ideal candidate will have:
*Previous experience in a caretaker, maintenance, facilities, cleaning or similar role
*Good general maintenance knowledge
*An understanding of Health & Safety
*Good communication and organisational skills
*Excellent timekeeping and reliability
*A proactive approach with the ability to work on your own initiative
*A professional and approachable manner
*The ability to carry out physical duties as required
