Full job descriptionAn established and growing logistics business is seeking a highly organised Fleet Administrator to join its busy transport team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced administrator looking to develop their career within fleet, transport or logistics operations.
Reporting to the Fleet Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day administration of a large fleet operation, ensuring vehicle records, compliance documentation and maintenance schedules are accurately maintained and up to date.
Key Responsibilities
*Maintain accurate records for company vehicles, trailers and fleet assets.
*Monitor MOTs, servicing schedules, inspections, tax and insurance requirements.
*Coordinate vehicle maintenance and repairs with internal teams and external suppliers.
*Process purchase orders, invoices and fleet-related expenditure.
*Maintain records of vehicle defects, repairs and maintenance history.
*Support driver licence checks and fleet compliance administration.
*Ensure all compliance documentation is maintained in line with regulatory requirements.
*Investigate and assist with vehicle damage, incidents and insurance claims.
*Update fleet management systems and transport databases.
*Respond to fleet-related enquiries via telephone and email.
*Provide general administrative support to the wider transport operation.
About You
*Previous administration experience, ideally within transport, logistics, fleet or a similar operational environment.
*Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
*Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
*High attention to detail and accuracy.
*Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
*Proactive, reliable and able to work effectively under pressure.
*A team player with a flexible and professional approach.
Desirable Experience
*Fleet or transport administration experience.
*Knowledge of Operator Licence compliance requirements.
*Understanding of vehicle maintenance processes.
*Experience using transport or fleet management systems.
*Exposure to logistics, haulage or distribution operations.
