Full job descriptionA leading speciality insurance organisation is seeking an experienced Reporting Accountant to join its Finance team in London on a fixed-term basis.
This is a hands-on role with responsibility for statutory reporting, month-end and quarter-end close, reconciliations and audit support across multiple entities.
In this Reporting Accountant role, you will be responsible for:
*Preparing statutory financial statements for multiple entities.
*Liaison with external auditors.
*Finalising monthly and quarterly trial balances accurately and to tight deadlines.
*Reviewing cash journals and bank reconciliations.
*Performing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations.
*Quarterly group reporting.
*Identifying and resolving accounting issues independently and contributing to wider Finance deliverables.
The successful candidate for this Reporting accountant role, will need the following experience:*Previous experience in a finance role at an insurance business
*Strong knowledge of insurance accounting.
*Proven experience preparing statutory accounts.
*Strong Excel skills.
*Proven experience with financial data reconciliation.
Desirable:
*Experience within the Lloyd’s market and/or company market.
*Experience working across multiple legal entities.
