Full job descriptionWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Interim Financial Controller to join a well established and growing business operating within the manufacturing and construction sector.
This is a key interim appointment, initially for a period of 4-5 months, offering the opportunity to play a hands on role within the finance function and work closely with senior management and operational teams.
The successful candidate will be required to work on-site initially to gain a strong understanding of the business, its operations and the wider team. Following this initial period, there will be the opportunity to move to a hybrid working arrangement.
Lancashire based. Day rate.
The Role
As Interim Financial Controller, you will take responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day finance function and providing accurate, timely financial information to support business decision-making.
Key responsibilities will include:
*Production of monthly management accounts and financial reporting
*Budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
*Financial analysis and variance reporting
*Maintaining and improving financial controls and processes
*Supporting month-end and year-end processes
*Business partnering with senior management and operational teams
*Providing commercial insight to support business performance
*Supporting and overseeing the wider finance team
*Liaising with external accountants, auditors and other key stakeholders
*Identifying opportunities to improve reporting, processes and efficiencies
About You
We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded finance professional who can quickly understand a business and make an immediate impact.
You will ideally have:
*Previous experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or similar senior finance role
*Experience within a manufacturing, construction, engineering or operationally focused environment
*Strong management accounting, budgeting and forecasting experience
*Excellent financial analysis and reporting skills
*A hands-on and proactive approach
*Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
*The ability to work independently and hit the ground running
*Previous interim experience would be advantageous
