Full job descriptionAn established education-focused organisation is looking for a confident and commercially minded Sales Executive to join its growing sales team. The role is focused on building relationships with schools, understanding their needs and presenting education programmes and digital resources that support pupils, teachers and school communities.
You will manage your own regional pipeline, generate new business, deliver engaging demonstrations and presentations, and build long-term relationships with school leaders and decision-makers. The role would suit someone who combines strong sales ability with a genuine interest in education and relationship-led business development.
Key Responsibilities• Build and develop strong relationships with schools and key education decision-makers across an assigned region.
• Generate new business through proactive lead generation, outbound contact and relationship development.
• Promote a portfolio of education programmes, resources and services to schools.
• Understand individual school requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Deliver confident and engaging product demonstrations, both online and face to face.
• Manage a pipeline of leads and opportunities using a CRM system.
• Work closely with regional and customer-support colleagues to improve lead generation and ensure a smooth handover after sale.
• Attend relevant education exhibitions, events and conferences to represent the organisation and develop new relationships.
• Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell additional products and services.
• Provide strong aftercare and maintain ongoing communication with customers following implementation.
• Work towards agreed personal and team sales targets and conversion objectives.
• Maintain accurate records, follow up opportunities promptly and provide regular updates on pipeline activity.

• Increasing take-up of additional products and services within existing accounts.

Knowledge & Experience• A strong sales background with at least three years’ experience in a target-driven or business-development role.
• Experience selling into schools, education, public-sector or relationship-led environments would be advantageous.
• Teaching or school-based experience would be highly beneficial, particularly where the candidate understands curriculum delivery and the day-to-day needs of schools.
• Confidence using CRM systems and digital platforms to manage opportunities and deliver demonstrations.
• Minimum GCSE-level English and Mathematics, or equivalent.
