We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Purchasing Assistant to join a busy team based in Bedford. This is a great opportunity for an organised and proactive individual with purchasing or administration experience.
The Role
As a Purchasing Assistant, you will support the purchasing team with the day-to-day procurement and administration activities, helping to ensure orders are processed accurately and efficiently.
Key responsibilities:
*Raising and processing purchase orders
*Liaising with suppliers and internal departments
*Obtaining quotations and checking pricing
*Monitoring outstanding orders and deliveries
*Maintaining accurate purchasing records and systems
*Assisting with invoice and delivery queries
*Supporting the wider purchasing team with administrative tasks
*Ensuring purchasing information is kept up to date
About You
The ideal candidate will be:
*Previous experience in purchasing from an engineering components company, procurement, supply chain or administration
*Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
*Confident communicating with suppliers and colleagues
*Comfortable working with Microsoft Office and computerised systems
*Able to work independently and manage competing priorities
*Reliable, proactive and a good team player
*Available to work full-time on a temporary basis
