Service Service is recruiting for an experienced Electronics Design Engineer to join an established engineering business developing specialist electronic systems for marine and offshore applications.
This is a hands-on design role covering electronic circuit design, prototyping, PCB development, testing and troubleshooting. You’ll work closely with other engineers to develop innovative products from concept through to production.
Key Responsibilities
*Design and prototype electronic circuits and systems
*Develop and integrate electronics into larger products
*Support PCB design, simulation and layout
*Produce technical documentation, test specifications and procedures
*Test, troubleshoot and resolve electronic design issues
*Work within ISO 9001 quality processes
*Collaborate with engineers across design and development
*Keep up to date with developments in electronic engineering
About You
*Degree or equivalent in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
*Strong understanding of electronic circuit design
*Experience with circuit design, simulation and PCB layout software
*Experience programming MCU and PIC devices
*Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
*Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
Desirable Experience
*C or C# programming
*DSP or FPGA development
*Analogue and RF circuit design
*Acoustic systems, ideally underwater
*Strong mathematical or physics background
