Full job descriptionClass 2 HGV Driver – Surfacing Team
P&R Surfacing Ltd is looking for a reliable and hardworking Class 2 HGV Driver to join our busy surfacing team, working across Exeter and the South West.
This is not just a driving job. While driving our vehicles will be a key part of the role, we are looking for someone who is willing to get stuck in and work alongside the rest of the team when required.
The Role
Your duties will include:
*Driving Class 2 HGV vehicles to and from sites
*Transporting materials, plant and equipment
*Carrying out daily vehicle checks and ensuring vehicles are kept in good condition
*Assisting the surfacing team on site
*Helping with general groundwork and manual duties when required
*Working safely and following site and company procedures
*Being flexible and willing to muck in wherever needed to get the job done
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
*Hold a valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence
*Hold a valid Driver CPC
*Have a valid Digital Tachograph Card
*Be reliable, punctual and hardworking
*Be physically fit and comfortable undertaking manual work
*Have a positive, team-focused attitude
*Be happy working outdoors in all weather conditions
*Have experience within surfacing, highways or construction – preferred but not essential
We’re looking for someone who understands that we’re a team. There may be times when you’ve finished the driving but the job isn’t finished – we need someone who’s happy to get out of the cab, roll their sleeves up and help the lads on site.
