We are currently working on behalf of a leading health and social care organisation who specialise within the Children’s Sector that are looking for experienced Support Workers/Carers. The ideal candidate will have experience within the children’s sector and will be required to have their NVQ 2 in Health and Social care (Children), however an NVQ 3 (Children) would be desirable.
Responsibilities:
*Safeguarding Children
*Ensuring that each young person’s individuality, difference and diversity are always appreciated
*Taking a child-centred approach in providing high quality care that will enable each young person to grow and develop healthily
*You will need to be flexible in your approach to work, as on occasions you may be called upon to cover a shift due to a colleague’s absence as well as being required to do sleep ins. Such flexibility and team work allows children and young people to receive consistent care from recognised carers.
*Providing young people with emotional and social support, helping them to develop meaningful relationships with other children and adults
*Working closely with your team, health advisors, social workers, therapists, teachers and other professionals
Requirements:
*Openness and commitment to personal development, identified training and professional development
*Strong communication skills including recording and report writing as well as verbal communication
*NVQ 2 / NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care (Children).
