The Opportunity
Reed is working with a highly respected environmental consultancy to recruit a Health and Safety Assistant to join their established Health, Safety, Environment and Quality team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with recent Health & Safety experience who enjoys administration, organisation and supporting colleagues across a busy business. You’ll work closely with experienced HSEQ professionals and gain exposure to a wide range of Health & Safety activities, making this an excellent role for someone looking to develop their long-term career within the sector.
Key Responsibilities
*Provide administrative support to the HSEQ team.
*Manage HSEQ inboxes and respond to day-to-day enquiries.
*Support accident, incident and near-miss reporting processes.
*Assist with risk assessments and Health & Safety documentation.
*Maintain HSEQ records, reports and spreadsheets.
*Coordinate meetings, take minutes and support project activities.
*Support audits, investigations and compliance initiatives.
*Work closely with teams across the business to promote safe working practices.
About You
To be considered for this position, you will have:
*Recent experience within a Health & Safety, HSEQ or compliance-related role.
*Strong administrative and organisational skills.
*Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
*Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
*High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
*The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
*A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
Desirable
*IOSH or NEBOSH qualification.
*Previous HSEQ administration experience.
*Experience supporting audits, risk assessments or incident reporting.
