Role Overview
We are recruiting a highly organised and detail-oriented Accounts Administrator to join our busy Deposit & PaymentsClerk. This is a fast-paced role supporting dealerships across the UK, ensuring customer deposits, credit applications and banking transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.
Working closely with one other team member, you will be responsible for managing high transaction volumes across three bank accounts covering approximately 147 sites. This position would suit someone who thrives in a busy environment, enjoys working to deadlines and has exceptional attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Processing and allocating customer deposit payments received from other departments and online forms.
Monitoring and reconciling transactions across three company bank accounts.
Processing and validating credit applications in line with company procedures.
Managing and allocating payments accurately and within agreed timescales.
Investigating and resolving payment discrepancies.
Ensuring all financial records are maintained accurately and updated promptly.
Working collaboratively with colleagues and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Supporting month-end activities and meeting strict financial deadlines.
Maintaining compliance with company policies and controls.
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Previous experience in an accounts, finance, banking or administration environment.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
The ability to work effectively under pressure in a high-volume environment.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
A proactive and positive approach to problem-solving.
The ability to work independently whilst also contributing to a small team.
Working Environment
Fast-paced, high-volume finance administration role.
Processing up to 25 applications per hour.
During month-end periods, transaction volumes can increase significantly, with up to 300 applications requiring processing in a single day.
Working within a small team responsible for critical financial processes across the network.
What Success Looks Like
Strong management of high transaction volumes whilst maintaining attention to detail.
Effective support to dealerships across the network.
Consistent achievement of month-end deadlines and service levels.
