Are you an experienced accountant ready to take the next step in your career?
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Client Manager to join our client a growing accountancy practice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who already has management experience, or an ambitious accountant who is ready to step into a management role and has some previous exposure to supervising or managing a team.
As Client Manager, you will play a key role in managing client relationships, overseeing a small team and ensuring that work is completed efficiently, accurately and to a high standard.
The Role
You will be responsible for:
*Managing and developing a small team of accounting staff.
*Planning and overseeing team workloads and workflows.
*Reviewing and overseeing the preparation of year-end accounts.
*Overseeing bookkeeping, VAT returns and tax compliance.
*Reviewing work to ensure accuracy and meeting deadlines.
*Managing a portfolio of clients and acting as a key point of contact.
*Building strong, professional relationships with clients.
*Supporting and mentoring team members, helping them develop their technical and professional skills.
*Identifying workflow improvements and helping to ensure the practice operates efficiently.
*Working closely with the wider management team to deliver an excellent service to clients.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
*An experienced accountant with a strong practice background holding a professional accounting qualification
*Confident dealing directly with clients.
*Experienced in accounts, bookkeeping, VAT and tax.
*Organised, commercially aware and able to manage competing deadlines.
*A confident communicator with excellent attention to detail.
*Comfortable reviewing work and providing guidance to others.
*Already managing a team, or ready to take that next step with some previous experience supervising or managing others.
*Proactive, approachable and keen to develop their career within a forward-thinking practice.
