JOB SALARY: £33000-£36000 depending on your previous relevant experience
JOB TYPE: Permanent
JOB HOURS: 9-5, Monday to Friday with 1 hour for lunch
JOB WORKING: Office-based until you’ve passed your probation, but then the option to work from home 2 days per week

Our client is a well-established manufacturing business and, as a result of a refocus on skills and commercial operations, they have asked Hays to help us find a Business Analyst to support its European operations. Working across multiple functions, including Sales, Purchasing, Operations and Finance, you’ll play a key role in helping the business identify opportunities, improve performance and drive profitability.

Your new role
In this job, you’ll combine advanced data analysis with commercial estimating responsibilities to support strategic business decisions across the product life cycle. You’ll be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for products, projects and customer opportunities, analysing profitability and supporting pricing decisions.
Alongside your estimating responsibilities, you’ll evaluate business processes, identify areas for improvement and provide meaningful insights through reporting, dashboards and data analysis. Working closely with stakeholders across Europe, you’ll support budgeting, forecasting and business improvement initiatives whilst helping management teams make informed decisions based on robust data.

This is a highly visible role offering exposure to multiple departments and the opportunity to influence decision-making at both operational and commercial levels.


What you’ll need to succeed
*Experience in a Business Analyst, Commercial Analyst, Cost Analyst or similar analytical role
*Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to build and maintain complex models
*Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
*Excellent attention to detail and a highly methodical approach
*Confidence analysing, modelling and interpreting data
*Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders
*Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
*A business-related qualification or degree
Experience within a manufacturing environment, VBA programming knowledge or exposure to predictive analytics and statistical modelling would be advantageous.
