Golding Homes is looking for a new Board member with strong expertise in corporate financial management and audit and corporate accounting to help shape the future of our organisation and the homes and services we provide across Kent.
We provide more than 8,500 homes and a range of services to over 20,000 people. Our vision is to be local and listening, visible and trusted, and efficient in everything we do. As a C1, G1, V2-rated housing provider, we are ambitious for our customers, our communities and the long-term quality, safety and sustainability of our homes.
As a Board member, you will contribute to strategy, scrutiny, assurance and collective decision-making. You will help the Board gain confidence that Golding is meeting its strategic objectives, managing risk effectively and complying with its legal, regulatory and landlord obligations.
We are particularly interested in candidates with substantial senior leadership experience in the social housing sector and deep knowledge of developing financial strategy, planning, analysis and monitoring against business plans and an appreciation of key issues relating to treasury management and financial markets.
You will bring a strong resident focus, understanding what organisational financial viability and delivering value for money mean for customers and communities.
You will be confident in providing constructive, evidence-based challenge on risk, cost, quality, compliance and performance. Previous non-executive or Board-level experience is desirable, as is experience of working within a regulated organisation and contributing to good governance, assurance and accountability.
Board meetings usually take place in person at County Gate in Maidstone, Kent, at least five times a year, generally late afternoon on a Thursday. There are also two Board away days each year.
