Rate: £42 per hour
Contract: 6 months
Our client, a leading organisation within the rail industry, is seeking an experienced Electrical Bias Mechanical & Electrical Fitter to join their team at Acton Railway Engineering Works, supporting S Stock upgrades.
The Role*Carry out electrical and mechanical fitting, assembly and modification work.
*Read and follow detailed work instructions and engineering drawings.
*Use hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment.
*Carry out electrical installation, wiring and associated fitting work.
*Correctly set and use torque wrenches, including witness marking.
*Use basic measuring equipment including Vernier calipers and micrometers.
*Work with overhead cranes and other workshop equipment, with training provided.
*Maintain and modify complex electrical and mechanical systems.
About You*Level 3 Electrical Engineering qualification or equivalent.
*Previous experience as an Electrical Fitter, Electrical Technician or Mechanical & Electrical Fitter.
*Strong electrical fitting/assembly experience with a mechanical aptitude.
*Able to read electrical/mechanical drawings and technical instructions.
*Rail, rolling stock or heavy engineering experience is highly desirable.
*Strong focus on safety, quality and attention to detail.
£42 per hour | 6-month contract | Acton
