We are recruiting an experienced Data Lead to manage a team of three analysts supporting a major funds data programme within financial services. The role will oversee data analysis, Power BI dashboard development and analytical reporting across large, multi-source datasets, ensuring complex information is translated into clear business insight and supports data-driven decision-making.
Role responsibilities
*Lead and manage a team of three analysts delivering data analysis, dashboard development and reporting activities.
*Oversee the development and refinement of Power BI and Tableau dashboards, management information and analytical outputs.
*Analyse complex financial services datasets, including holdings, transactions, legal entities and regulatory reporting data.
*Guide the creation of integrated views of firms and entities using information from multiple data sources.
*Ensure analysis identifies relevant trends, concentrations, anomalies and potential risks.
*Improve data quality through validation, controls, data enrichment and ongoing assurance activities.
*Engage senior stakeholders to understand requirements, gather feedback and prioritise team activity.
Key experience and requirements
*Strong Power BI experience, including overseeing the development and refinement of dashboards, management information and analytical reporting solutions.
*At least five years’ experience in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting or a related data role.
*Previous experience working with complex datasets within financial services is essential.
*Proven experience leading a small data or analytics team and delivering solutions within complex environments.
*Strong SQL and data-analysis skills across large, multi-source datasets.
*Experience using Tableau alongside Power BI would be beneficial.
*Familiarity with AWS services such as S3, Athena and DynamoDB.
*Strong senior stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to communicate complex analysis clearly.
