Full job descriptionAre you a bathroom products expert with the commercial acumen to influence sourcing decisions, develop product ranges and negotiate with international manufacturers?
We’re recruiting for a Category Manager to join a growing business operating within the bathrooms sector. Reporting directly to the Procurement Manager, you’ll take ownership of key product categories and play a pivotal role in shaping future product ranges.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who combines technical product knowledge with strong commercial and negotiation capability.
Working closely with sales and marketing teams, you’ll help drive category performance, supplier relationships and product development initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
*Managing supplier relationships across China, Turkey and Europe
*Negotiating pricing, product improvements and commercial agreements
*Identifying opportunities for range development and new product introduction
*Researching market trends and competitor activity
*Working directly with manufacturers
*Preparing business cases and recommendations for supplier or pricing changes
*Supporting brochure launches and product marketing activities
*Collaborating with sales teams to ensure product ranges meet customer needs
*Managing product information and technical data across internal systems
*Working within Microsoft Dynamics 365 and product information management systems
We’re looking for someone who understands the bathroom sector inside and out.
Whether your background is sales, procurement or something else my client are open to considering all candidates who demonstrate a strong technical knowledge of bathroom products and the ability to negotiate effectively in a procurement environment.
You’ll bring:
Strong bathroom product knowledge, they’re not too worried about specific categories but any of the following would be great sanitaryware, taps, showers, furniture and shower enclosures
Understanding of water regulations and compliance requirements would be highly beneficial but isn’t essential
Excellent commercial awareness and high-level negotiation skills
Strong Excel capability and confidence working with ERP systems
Ideally, you’ll be able to discuss products in detail, understanding materials, parts and the features that differentiate entry-level and premium ranges.
