Full job descriptionA leading construction consultancy in London is looking for a Senior Project Manager with strong data centre experience to join its expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to lead technically complex, high-value data centre projects while working with major clients and specialist delivery teams.
The Senior Project Manager will take ownership of projects from early design through procurement, construction, commissioning, and final completion. This Senior Project Manager role would suit an experienced Senior Project Manager who can lead multidisciplinary teams, manage complex stakeholders, and maintain control of programme, risk, quality, and project delivery. The successful Senior Project Manager will play a key client-facing role and support the continued growth of the consultancy’s mission-critical offering.
You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.


The Senior Project Manager’s roleThe Senior Project Manager will lead data centre projects through pre-contract and post-contract stages, taking responsibility for overall project performance.
The Senior Project Manager will manage programmes, procurement, consultant teams, contract administration, risk, change control, reporting, and stakeholder engagement. They will chair project meetings, monitor contractor performance, coordinate technical teams, and ensure delivery remains aligned with client requirements.
The Senior Project Manager will also support commissioning and handover, manage senior client relationships, mentor junior colleagues, and contribute to business development where appropriate.


The Senior Project ManagerThe successful Senior Project Manager will have:
*Prior experience working within a construction consultancy
*Strong data centre or mission-critical project experience
*Experience leading technically complex projects independently
*Pre-contract and post-contract delivery experience
*A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, Engineering, or a related discipline
*MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB, or another relevant professional qualification
*Strong knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts
*Excellent client-facing, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
*Experience managing multidisciplinary consultant and technical teams
*A proactive, commercially focused, and professional approach
