Location: Skelmersdale with occasional travel to Macclesfield & Colchester
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 (DOE) + Bonus + Car Allowance
Working pattern: 3 days office-based across two North West sites, 2 days working from home, with quarterly travel to customer and business locations across the South as required.
Overview
We are working in partnership with a well-established and growing organisation operating within the print sector. Renowned for its commitment to quality, innovation and long-standing client relationships, the business is now seeking an experienced Head of Account Management to lead its client services function.
This is a senior leadership opportunity with significant influence across the commercial strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving client satisfaction, sustainable revenue growth and developing a high-performing account management team that takes a proactive, customer-focused approach to managing and growing key accounts.
We’re looking for an inspiring leader who combines commercial acumen with strong people leadership, enjoys building lasting customer relationships and is passionate about creating opportunities for both clients and the business.
Key Responsibilities
*Provide strategic leadership to the Account Management team, setting clear objectives, driving accountability and developing a high-performance culture.
*Develop and implement an account management strategy aligned with wider business growth plans.
*Take ownership of commercial forecasting, pipeline visibility and revenue planning, providing credible forecasts that support business decision-making.
*Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, acting as a trusted partner at senior level.
*Identify and maximise opportunities to grow existing accounts through proactive relationship management and commercial development.
*Lead by example in developing face-to-face customer relationships, encouraging the team to maximise the value of client meetings and strengthen customer engagement.
*Work collaboratively with Sales, Operations and Production to ensure seamless service delivery across complex customer requirements.
Candidate Profile
*Proven experience in a senior Account Management leadership role within print, manufacturing or another commercially complex industry.
*Demonstrable success in growing key customer accounts while balancing operational delivery and commercial performance.
*Strong commercial awareness with experience of forecasting, pipeline management and revenue ownership.
*Evidence of driving business development opportunities within existing customer accounts.
*A motivational and transformational leadership style with a proven ability to inspire, coach and develop high-performing teams.
*Confident building senior stakeholder relationships and comfortable spending time with customers to strengthen partnerships and identify opportunities.
