We are currently recruiting for a Woodwork Assembler to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Banbury.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in woodwork, carpentry, joinery, furniture assembly or general woodworking who is looking for a long-term position within a stable working environment.
The RoleAs a Woodwork Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling and preparing wooden components and products to a high standard. You will use a range of hand and power tools, ensuring all work is completed accurately, safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities*Assembling wooden components and products
*Using a variety of hand and power tools
*Operating tools such as nail guns, bench saws and ply rip saws
*Measuring, cutting and fitting wooden materials accurately
*Working from drawings, measurements and assembly instructions
*Ensuring finished products meet the required quality standards
*Carrying out visual quality checks throughout the assembly process
*Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment
*Following company health and safety procedures
*Working efficiently to meet daily production targets
*Supporting other areas of the production process when required
About YouThe ideal candidate will have:
*Previous experience in woodwork, carpentry, joinery, furniture assembly or a similar hands-on environment
*Experience using power tools, ideally including nail guns, bench saws and ply rip saws
*Good practical and problem-solving skills
*Strong attention to detail
*The ability to accurately measure and work to specifications
*The ability to follow drawings and written instructions
*A good understanding of workplace health and safety
*A reliable and hardworking attitude
*The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Previous woodworking or assembly experience is highly desirable.
Working Hours & Pay*Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 16:30
*Friday: Early finish
*Pay: £12.71 per hour
*Temporary to permanent opportunity
