An established and well-regarded law firm in Dorset is seeking an Employment Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (FCILEx) with 2-4 years’ PQE to join its growing Employment team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly and collaborative department that advises both employers and individuals on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters. The role offers high-quality work, direct client contact, and genuine opportunities for career progression.

The Role
The successful candidate will handle a varied caseload including:
• Advising employers and employees on a wide range of employment law matters
• Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies, staff handbooks and settlement agreements
• Managing Employment Tribunal claims and litigation matters
• Supporting corporate transactions, including TUPE and business acquisitions
• Providing day-to-day employment advice to commercial clients
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Participating in business development, networking and marketing activities

Key Responsibilities
• Managing a varied employment law caseload from instruction through to completion
• Delivering high levels of client service and maintaining regular client contact
• Achieving billing and performance targets
• Assisting with the growth and development of the employment department
• Supporting marketing initiatives and networking events
• Identifying cross-referral opportunities across the wider firm
• Ensuring matters are progressed efficiently and profitably
