Hays Education are working in partnership with a number of welcoming and inclusive primary schools across Central Leeds to recruit a dedicated and adaptable Teaching Assistant for a long-term full-time role starting as soon as possible.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic TA looking for a varied role.
You will be supporting pupils across a range of year groups, providing both 1:1 support for children with additional needs and general classroom support alongside teaching staff.
The position is expected to continue on an ongoing basis while the school reviews its staffing requirements, with the possibility of a permanent contract for the right candidate.
The Role
*Provide classroom support across various primary year groups.
*Deliver tailored 1:1 support for pupils with SEN and additional learning needs.
*Support teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
*Help promote positive behaviour and pupil engagement.
*Adapt to different classroom environments and learning needs.
*Work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents and support professionals.
What We’re Looking For
*Previous experience working with children in a school, nursery or educational setting.
*Experience supporting children with SEN is desirable but not essential.
*A positive, patient and flexible approach.
*Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
*Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
*An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Hays.
