Job Description:
Full job descriptionHays Education are working with a welcoming primary school in Tingley, South Leeds, to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term position starting as soon as possible.
This rewarding role will involve supporting pupils across Year 2 and Year 3, providing a combination of general classroom assistance and targeted 1:1 support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
The school is looking for a caring, proactive individual who can build positive relationships with pupils and support them in reaching their full potential.
The Role
*Provide classroom support across Year 2 and Year 3.
*Work closely with class teachers to deliver engaging learning experiences.
*Support individual pupils with SEN through tailored 1:1 interventions.
*Encourage pupil engagement, confidence and independence.
*Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a nurturing learning environment.
*Assist with classroom preparation and daily learning activities.
What We’re Looking For
*Previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting.
*Experience supporting children with SEN is desirable.
*A patient, caring and adaptable approach.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
What You’ll Receive
*Competitive daily rate of £95 to £105 per day, depending on experience.
