Full job descriptionAn excellent opportunity has arisen for a Personal Tax Assistant Manager to join a well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice in Leicester. Working closely with Directors and Partners, you will manage a varied portfolio of private clients while supporting the development of junior team members and contributing to the continued growth of the tax department.

Description
*Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients, ensuring compliance deadlines are met.
*Review personal tax returns prepared by junior staff.
*Provide tax planning advice to individuals, owner-managed businesses and high-net-worth clients.
*Advise on capital gains tax, inheritance tax and income tax matters.
*Support Partners and Directors on complex advisory assignments.
*Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted point of contact.
*Identify tax planning opportunities across the client portfolio.
*Assist with HMRC enquiries and correspondence.
*Mentor and develop junior team members.
*Contribute to the ongoing growth and success of the tax team through business development and networking initiatives.


Profile
*ATT and/or CTA qualified, or currently studying towards CTA.
*Previous experience within a personal tax role in an accountancy practice.
*Strong technical knowledge of UK personal taxation.
*Experience managing a client portfolio and handling client relationships.
*Good understanding of capital gains tax, inheritance tax and self-assessment compliance.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
*Commercially aware with a proactive approach to delivering client solutions.
*Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise workload effectively.
*A desire to develop into a Manager and senior leadership role over time.
