We are looking for a Strategic Finance Business Partner to join our team and work as part of the RNLI Business Partnering community, providing financial management, insight, decision support, and analysis to support the RNLI. Providing constructive, commercial, and cost-effective financial support and expertise to help the RNLI deliver our Lifesaving Effect, ensure we spend donors’ money wisely, and deliver value for money.

Your role
As a Strategic Finance Business Partner, you will provide first-class financial decision support, planning and analysis to departments and major projects within the RNLI, providing the right information to the right people, at the right time, for the right decisions.
As Strategic Finance Business Partner, you will:
- Build relationships with and provide full financial guidance and support service to your customers
- Lead the departments on financial planning and forecasting
- Attend relevant departmental and project meetings, ensuring there is a finance presence where appropriate
- Deliver regular financial reports and ad-hoc financial analysis for your customers, finance department and external auditors
About you
Our ideal candidate will have:
- A strong background in financial decision support and planning in a similar fast-paced environment
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and influence at senior levels, and experience in providing constructive challenge as required
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel
This role will also line manage and work with a Finance Business Partner, who will help you with all aspects of decision support and planning, so staff management experience is also essential.
