A well-established regional law firm is looking to recruit a Childcare Solicitor to join its experienced Family team in Doncaster.
This is a great opportunity for a Solicitor with experience in public law and childcare matters to join a supportive team and take responsibility for a varied caseload of care proceedings and child protection work.
The role
You will deal with a caseload of public law childcare matters, representing parents, children and other parties throughout care proceedings. Your work will include:
*Managing care proceedings from instruction through to conclusion
*Advising and supporting clients throughout the process
*Representing clients at court hearings
*Preparing statements, applications and other legal documents
*Working with social services, Cafcass and other professionals
*Undertaking advocacy where appropriate
*Advising clients in relation to Public Law Outline proceedings
About you
The firm is looking for a qualified Solicitor with experience in public childcare law. You should be confident managing your own caseload and dealing with clients and professionals in often complex and sensitive circumstances.
You will ideally have:
*Experience handling care proceedings
*Strong client care and communication skills
*Good knowledge of public childcare law
*Confidence with advocacy
*The ability to manage your own caseload effectively
Children Panel membership, or a willingness to work towards accreditation, would be advantageous but is not essential.
