Full job descriptionHousekeeper, Wimbledon, £60,000 GPA


Our client in Wimbledon is looking for an experienced Housekeeper to take charge of the day-to-day running of the house. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes real pride in a beautifully kept home, and who is equally happy getting stuck into the family’s routine, from the school run to walking the dogs. You will be working as one of the full-time housekeepers, this is a key role within a small housekeeping team, reporting to the head housekeeper.
Occasional flexibility is needed to support the family at their second home in Wales, and to provide cover for other staff locally.

*Responsibilities:Ensure the smooth running of the home, to a consistently high standard of cleanliness and organisation
*Laundry, ironing, wardrobe management and care of delicate items, liaising with dry cleaners as needed
*Management of household, toiletry and pet supplies, including the weekly food shop
*Simple, family-style meal preparation when required
*Overseeing contractors and tradespeople in the home
*Warm, engaged involvement with the children, including school and activity pick-ups when needed
*Confident care of a large dog, with occasional dog-sitting or overnight house-sitting while the family are away
*Errands, deliveries and general household admin


*Requirements:Considerable experience working in a large private household
*A confident, experienced London driver (own car not required)
*Discreet, trustworthy and comfortable working within a professional household
*A natural team player, equally happy working independently
*Proactive, unflappable and a strong problem-solver
*Genuinely fond of children and animals
*Fluent English speaker with excellent communication skills


Schedule: 40 hours per week to a rota (7am–8pm), including two Saturdays a month with the following Monday off. Overtime by prior arrangement.

Salary: £60,000 GPA
