Full job descriptionWe have an exciting opportunity for a Engineering/Maintenance Supervisor based in South Bedfordshire for one of our clients on a Full time permanent basis.
Summary of the Engineering/Maintenance Supervisor role
Salary: £55,000
Location: South Bedfordshire
Type of Contract: Permanent
Hours: Monday – Friday 37.5 hours 8.30am - 4.30pm
Responsibilities of theEngineering/Maintenance Supervisor
*Direct and monitor all activities relating to manufacturing operations, equipment and processes
*Supervise the day-to-day activities of the site engineering team
*Prepare RFE’s/Capex’s for engineering tools and equipment
*Oversee design and development of equipment
*Manage critical spares
*Interview, train, develop and evaluate performance of engineering associates
*Manage total project activities with planned schedule for timely completion
*Recommend replacement of existing equipment
*Manage and present design proposals
*Establish priorities to ensure all machinery, equipment and facilities are in good, safe working condition
Requirements for a successful Engineering/Maintenance Supervisor
*Experience in supervision and/or project leadership
*Time-served Electrical/Mechanical engineer
*Excellent Electrical/mechanical aptitude
*Good knowledge of health and safety
*Flexible and pro-active
*Strong organisational skills and ability to deal with multiple priorities
*Good communication skills
*Good inter-personal and team working skills
*Experience of engineering disciplines
*IT literate
*Experience with CAD software
