Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Working pattern: Primarily office based, with limited hybrid working potentially available following successful probation

Our client is looking for a bright, organised and highly detail-focused HR Assistant / HR Administrator to join their HR function. You do not need to have built your career in HR already - what matters is that you have previous administrative experience, excellent attention to detail and a genuine enthusiasm for developing a long-term career within Human Resources.
You will receiveexcellent training, support and hands-on experience, giving you the chance to build practical knowledge across a wide range of HR activities. From recruitment and onboarding through to employee records, payroll information and HR documentation, this is an opportunity to develop a strong generalist HR foundation from the outset.
What will you be doing?
This is a varied role where no two days are likely to feel exactly the same. You will support the smooth running of day-to-day HR administration while gradually building your knowledge and confidence across the wider employee lifecycle.
Your responsibilities will include:
*Supporting recruitment activity, including reviewing CVs and coordinating interviews
*Helping with new starter onboarding and employee induction processes
*Maintaining accurate employee records and updating the HR system
*Preparing contracts and other HR documentation for review
*Supporting right-to-work and employee record administration
*Coordinating leaver processes and assisting with exit administration
*Providing accurate employee information for payroll processing
*Responding to routine employee queries in a professional and helpful manner
*Supporting the HR team with day-to-day administration and wider projects
*Handling confidential employee information with care and discretion
*Helping improve HR processes and administration as your experience develops
What are we looking for?

*Previous administration experience
*Excellent attention to detail
*Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage several tasks at once
*Confident written and verbal communication skills
*Good Microsoft Office and general IT skills
*A professional approach when handling confidential or sensitive information
*A genuine interest in developing a career within HR
*A positive, reliable and proactive attitude
Desirable:
*Previous exposure to HR, recruitment or employee administration
*An HR, Business Administration or related qualification
*Experience using an HR system or similar business software
*A basic understanding of HR processes
*Experience using modern digital or AI-assisted tools in an administrative environment
