Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a leading multidisciplinary consultancy in their search for an experienced Senior Town Planner to join their successful and progressive team in Bristol.

The Role
As a Senior Town Planner, you will play a key role in delivering a varied portfolio of planning projects, working closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
Your responsibilities will include:
*Acting as Planning Lead or supporting the Planning Lead on a range of projects.
*Working across a variety of planning, development and infrastructure projects.
*Taking responsibility for project management and successful project delivery.
*Acting as lead consultant on multidisciplinary projects where appropriate.
*Supporting the preparation of bids, tender submissions and framework responses.
*Developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
*Supporting business development and wider work-winning opportunities.
*Preparing high-quality planning reports, submissions and technical documentation.
*Working collaboratively with colleagues across environmental, engineering, design and other specialist disciplines.
*Providing support and guidance to junior members of the planning team.
*Contributing to the continued growth and development of the wider planning team.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
*A relevant degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
*Chartered status or be actively working towards MRTPI.
*Strong experience within planning consultancy or a related environment.
*Experience across strategic planning and planning policy.
*An understanding of TCPA, DCO, TWAO or equivalent planning and consenting processes.
*Experience of the Environmental Impact Assessment process would be advantageous.
*The ability to manage multiple assignments and deliver work to deadlines and within budget.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*The confidence to provide planning advice and engage with clients and stakeholders.
*The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
*A proactive, enthusiastic and commercially aware approach.
*A demonstrable ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
