We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Manager to join a well-established business based in Crawley. This is a key leadership role, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day warehouse operation and ensuring the efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of goods.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Manage daily warehouse operations, including goods-in, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
*Set up new units for shipping, including software downloads, sensor inputs, and equipment calibration.
*Pack and secure equipment using appropriate materials such as foam, crates, pallets, and straps.
*Inspect items for damage or defects before packing.
*Handle booking of delivery collections on various courier portals, ensuring accurate weights and measurements.
*Print shipping labels and ensure packages are accurately labelled with shipping information, handling instructions, and documentation.
*Maintain accurate records of packed items and shipping logs.
*Collaborate with logistics teams to meet shipping deadlines.
*Operate basic warehouse equipment like pallet jacks.
*Ensure accurate stock control and maintain inventory management systems.
*Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
*Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free packing area.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Previous experience in packing, shipping, or warehouse operations is preferred.
*Ability to lift and move heavy items safely.
*Basic understanding of shipping documentation and procedures is desirable.
*Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
*Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
