Oxford | Hybrid/Remote | Full or Part-Time | c. £65,000 DOE
Commercial Property Solicitor | Commercial Property Lawyer | Landlord & Tenant | Leases | Freehold & Leasehold | Oxford
An exciting opportunity for a Commercial Property Solicitor to join a growing, modern law firm where flexibility, autonomy and quality client service genuinely come first.
This is not a high-volume, target-driven environment. You’ll have the freedom to manage your own caseload, work with trusted clients and shape your working pattern around your life.
The Role
You’ll handle a varied non-contentious commercial property caseload, including:
*Commercial freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
*Landlord & tenant matters, particularly acting for landlords
*Drafting and negotiating commercial leases
*Lease assignments, transfers and related property matters
*Property work arising from corporate transactions
*Working closely with corporate and residential property colleagues
*Managing matters from instruction through to completion with minimal supervision
The firm has a strong network of local agents and receives regular referrals, providing a steady pipeline of quality commercial property work.
Why Join?
*c. £65,000 full-time salary, depending on experience
*Full-time or part-time considered
*Genuine flexible and family-friendly working arrangements
*Hybrid/remote working once established
*No rigid billing targets or high-volume caseload
*Significant autonomy and no micromanagement
*Opportunity to work closely with the firm’s founders and help shape a growing practice
*Collaborative environment with work shared across corporate, commercial and residential property teams
*Returners and lawyers looking for a more flexible career are encouraged to apply
About You
You’ll ideally have 2–3+ years’ commercial property experience and be comfortable handling matters with limited supervision.
You should have experience across commercial leases, landlord & tenant and freehold/leasehold transactions, together with a confident, client-focused approach.
Most importantly, you’ll be someone who values quality over volume, takes ownership of your work and wants to work in a genuinely trusting and flexible environment.
Residential property experience is useful but not essential.
Initial office attendance in Oxford will be required during onboarding, likely 2–3 days per week. Once established, the firm is highly flexible regarding hybrid and remote working.
