We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Head of Year to join a supportive and ambitious secondary school in Slough. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced pastoral professional who is passionate about student wellbeing, behaviour, attendance, and personal development.
Working closely with students, families, and staff, you will play a key role in creating a positive learning environment where every student can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
*Lead and support the pastoral care of a designated year group.
*Monitor and improve student attendance, behaviour, and wellbeing.
*Build strong relationships with students, parents, and external agencies.
*Support safeguarding and student welfare initiatives.
*Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff to ensure positive outcomes.
*Promote the highest standards of conduct, achievement, and engagement.
The Ideal Candidate
*Experience working with young people in a school or educational setting.
*Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
*Ability to manage challenging situations calmly and effectively.
*A proactive and organised approach to supporting students.
